Previous postings about Sasha
Elizabeth and Tara with their beautiful cat Sasha captured the hearts of so many of us here on FDMB back in March. I'm starting a new post about Sasha because sometimes there's just too much pain in an earlier discussion, but the link to that discussion is shown above. It's good to hear from Elizabeth and Tara...we've been worried about them. Elizabeth sent me a message that she'd be honored if I posted this photo of Sasha and her poem about her sweet furgirl. Elizabeth's heartfelt, lovely poem brought tears to my eyes and so did this photo of her fluffy, darling lovebug Sasha.
Thinking of you, Elizabeth and Tara, as we all remember Sasha.
With Love,
Eva
Dear Eva :
It just hurts so much. I miss my girl even as I keep telling myself how blessed we all were to have been her family. Your help and the support of the group made it possible for her to cross over in the arms of those who loved her. We will never forget that.
My Mom wrote a poem about Sasha...... I find it comforting to read it and we wanted to share it here:
We are so grateful for the love and support we find here. It means the world to be able to share with others who understand. I look forward to staying in touch...even though it's been hard....My other five babies need us...they have been so sad too.
Sending hugs
Tara and Elizabeth

Finding Home
Silver Sasha
Saucy Sweet
Abandoned
Starving
on my street
Scraggly fur
on scrawny frame
I offered food
In time
She came
Every day
I left a plate
Soon she sat close
While she ate
She looked at me
with deep green eyes
I smiled back
and waited by
In time, she met me
at the door
I brought her food
She trusted more
No rush
Just patience
Kindness too
I knew in time
She'd make a move
Then one day
This silver cat
Ate her food
Then found my lap
I picked her up
and took her in
The other cats made room....
She found her place
and we've been blessed
with Sasha
our Maine Coon.
