I am checking out the calculator and just wondering if we are looking at the Wet Matter Carbohydrates number mainly or the Dry Matter Carbohydrates number, or both? We are aiming for 10% carb, correct? I bought some canned Publix (supermarket chain) in the South and the numbers seem to check out ok, just want to be it is a safe food to feed my kitty.
Reason I was trying the calculator, bought Publix (major supermaket in south) brand canned, wet food, ingredients look good, but not sure it is low enough in carbs. I was trying to figure it out with the calculator, but guess I don't understand. Any one know about Publix brand foods?
Sort of interesting what I found out calculating different foods, most of the Sheba entree's were low and so were the Publix brand entree's. The Publix brand foods are very economical. Why is Sheba getting a bad rap? I know I seem obsessed with Sheba, but it's available at a pretty reasonable price and I bought a lot of them. lol Do you double the carb calculations on the small 3 oz cans (thinking not) as opposed to the larger Friskies 5.50z cans?
