I've never seen anything like this...
Annie is an indoor/outdoor girl...and 'knocks' on the screen door when she wants in.
So tonight, when I heard the knock on the door, I opened it, turned to say something to Binks-
and turned back to see a big ol' Maine Coon stroll in!
He walked through the living room into the dining area, checked out the kitchen...
then calmly & quietly made his way to the spare bedroom and hopped up on the bed.
I greeted him and asked him who he was... he gave me two quiet polite meows, and curled up on one of my shirts to go to sleep. :?
And that's where he still is!
I'm very familiar with the neighborhood cats- have NEVER seen this handsome devil before.
From the look of him, he's been living rough for awhile-
and since it's late here...I put food, water & a litterbox in there and closed the door.
(He immediately went to the food dish.)
What's REALLY odd about this is that not ONE of my three is showing any interest in him at all :? :? .
Other than quietly watching him walk past- they're totally un-fazed by his presence...
It's almost like he's not even in there, or like he belongs here.
Annie invariably challenges any animal that comes in her yard, but not this guy.
I've looked in on him a couple of times, and he gives a quiet little meow, lazily waves his tail, and settles back in.
(he has a very small voice for as big a fellow as he is).
So far, one of the strangest kitty encounters i've had...
