Danny’s PMPS is 230. Which is the lowest PS reading we’ve gotten since his diagnosis on Aug 26. We started him on 1u Lantus on Sep 5 starting in the PM, so he’s had 4 doses so far. Should I give him his PM dose? I read Rebecca’s diary of Austin and Eugene (RIP ) and I’m so scared of him going hypo. See SS below. Thank you all.

No worries at all - I’m pretty new too! I think it’s fine if you leave this one here, I will copy the link to your new post in the Lantus sub forum to avoid duplicate answers.

Go ahead and shoot. For new people, we say not to shoot under 200, except under certain circumstances like ketones or recent DKA. Over that, you are good to shoot. I would get a later test tonight, as he's coming down from a bounce during the day.

Hey guys, thanks for the response. The transformer in our backyard blew out and we were without power for 5 hours. I ended up not shooting because I was nervous about the bg being too low/distracted with dealing with people from the power company coming over to fix the transformer. I checked his bg 45 mins ago (what would be PM+5) and it was 364. PMPS was 230. Thinking about just waiting till the regular AMPS to give him his regular 1u dose.

Also, sorry I never reposted in the correct forum, it's been an eventful night. Going forward I will be sure to post these types of questions in the Lantus forum. Thank you all again

I do have plenty of test strips and honey. If I may ask, what is "mc" and "hc"?
Hi Holly
Med and High Carb food in case you need to bring Danny's numbers up

Such as

Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Gourmet Beef Feast in Gravy 20% High Carbs

Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Gourmet Chicken Feast in Gravy 15% Med Carbs

Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Turkey Feast in Gravy 15% Med Carbs

Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Chicken and Beef in Gravy 15% Med Carbs

Good idea to mark the cans with magic marker how many carbs

Or any on the food chart. Doesn't have to be Fancy Feast just an example about the med and high carb foods

https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/dr-pierson-new-food-

Between 11% and 17% is medium carbs.

18% and over is high carb.

Then put the Date first, then Danny then his AMPS # and tap post
To add more tests after that for EXAMPLE 100 +2. Don't give us times
and additional tests after that , You can continue with PMPS # then and additional tests after that

Now to go back to add those tests look to the right you will see the word Thread Tools, tap it then tap Edit Title and add all your tests then tap Save.

We do a new post everyday on the Lantus Board and we also link the previous post ( your post )to the new one ,
I'll try to explain how to do it

The best that I can explain how to do it is to look up top where that picture is of that cat on the left hand side , above it will be this post in that long line where it says https://feline diabetes.com/FDMB/threads//pmps-230.
This is your thread you would link to tomorrow's post if you decide to post on the Lantus Board tomorrow
You copy it and then paste it on your new post tomorrow where you would begin to write something
Also write it's your first time posting on the Lantus Board
