Out of Remission

Hi Everyone
Tansi is out of remission after a couple years so I am finding my footing again in here. I need help once again in making a spreadsheet. I only have an android phone. Can you help me again please? Bhooma helped me with this last time.
Many thanks

Ugh, sorry to hear the news. Do you have an idea why Tansi is super sweet again? Has he had a vet check, especially his teeth? Needing a dental is one of the more common reasons kitties fall out of remission.

Hope this is just a short stay. We've got a few people here now recently started working on second remissions (we hope).

Aw thanks Wendy
Yes Tansi does need dental work and just recently had blood drawn to assess health prior to surgery. He popped up with a 17 and I was very surprised since less than a month ago he tested normal at home. The vet said his cholesterol was high too.
Going to test him a few more times now (he tested 17 at home a few hours ago too) then get the lantus prescription tomorrow. If he stays 17ish I will see about starting him on 1 unit. Maybe a half unit is enough to start.
Anyway thanks for your kind words.

With a cat coming out of remission, you do want to be aggressive in trying to get him back into regulation as quickly as possible, to help the odds of reremission. A lot of cats end up at or above their max turnaround dose the first time around. How much does Tansi weigh now?

Hi Cindi, sorry to hear that Tansi fell out of remission. Will add tabs for 2023 to your SS. Are you still using a human meter?
