? Out of remission in just 10 days?

Hi everyone!

Is it possible for bg to go from normal to 300–400 in just 10 days? Has this ever happened to any of you? Is this normal?

Seta, my cat, went into remission almost 2 years ago thanks to this group, but then suddenly, in early July, I saw her drinking from her water bowl (she never does that—she eats low-carb wet food, and I add 1–2 tablespoons of water to each meal), and when I checked her bg, I got this nice surprise, as you can see from her spreadsheet.

I’ve already taken her to the vet and had her blood and urine tested, and according to the vet, there was nothing to suggest any inflammation or other diseases —just the typical abnormal values associated with uncontrolled diabetes.

I'd like to hear your opinion.Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

Did the vet look in her mouth? I see it talked about a lot here that needing dental work is a big cause for numbers to increase like that. Or any changes in urinations or BMs?

She’s had a nice run the last few days of greens. That’s great. And nice job acting so fast with the insulin. I’m curious what the others will say, was there anything else going on earlier this year? I see she was in the blues, albeit low blues. A lot of the OTJ kitties I see they run in the greens.

Yes, the vet checked her mouth and there’s no sign of inflammation; in fact, it’s in very good condition.

Her urine has also been checked and everything is fine; she’s using her litter box as usual (She doesn’t go there any more often than usual).
Now that her levels have returned to normal, she isn’t urinating as much as she was 2 weeks ago.

Nothing has changed since she went into remission 2 years ago. I’ve continued to feed her low-carb wet food and over the past 2 years, she’s always been well and has had a good appetite. Her annual check-ups have always been perfect. We also checked her thyroid, and the results came back negative.

There’s just one thing: at the end of June, my partner had to be away from home for 5 days for a funeral, and the 2 of them are very close. At first I thought it was due to separation stress, but I don't think that would have raised her bg levels that much… at least I don't think so.

Yeah,She was in the blues much more than greens, but as long as she stayed within the 50–120 mg/dL range, I wasn't worried about it.
Could this be the problem?

I just hope I can get her into remission a second time, if possible…
