Some of us didn't know him very well, but I hear he is legendary.
And he shall live forever in your heart and ours.

Cyn, Cosmo was and still is a lucky boy to have had you as you are to have had him. Your letter is beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. Please take care :YMHUG:
 
Cyn I am so very sorry that it was time for Cosmo to leave you . But he hasn't really left you has he? He's left his body but his spirit will always be near by. You two love each other so much . How else could it be? Cosmo is a very special kitty. Yes he is a legend here on the board. He will always be loved here as will you Cyn. Cosmo will never be forgotten. The video and your letter are very special tributes to a very special boy.

Fly high and proud sweet Cosmo. What a welcome you must be getting at the Bridge today. I know my Tiga was there to meet you.
 
I pray that all of the good memories you have of this special boy help to bring you comfort and peace.

Oh, what a very very sad day in Lantus Land today. Cyn, I am so sorry and my heart is breaking for you. I can't get the video to work, but when I get home, I'll be able to see D's tribute to Cosmo. Fly free, Cosmo!
 
Oh my he looks just like my Merlin - in some of those pictures he'd be Merlin's twin. Merlin used to have a banana to hug, too. I'm so sorry for your loss! Those chubby black ones are special fellas, aren't they?
 
Cynthia, I just read your letter to Cosmo and it is absolutely beautiful. I could feel the love you have for your baby. He sounds like an amazing kittie and you are so lucky to have had him in your life. I will be thinking of you and hope that your many memories will bring a smile to your face!

*tears* -- read your beautiful letter to Cosmo. ( I started writing to Wolfie and it has helped -- so keep on writing to him. I feel certain the ones I am writing get delivered ..........I am sure Cosmo got your letter too)

He was such a lucky kitty to have you looking after him. I remember when you guys first came here and all you went through. He was a super trooper. He still is and will always be.
He was very kind to send Winnie piddle pads he no longer needed back in the day. Thank you Cosmo !
I hope you and Winnie and Wolfie hook up and hang out and w/ the other LL GAs too.

I know you and Danger will comfort each other and get through this painful time together.
and we are here too. don't forget.

I'm sorry to say I haven't been on here for awhile and am so sad to see this tonight. I'm sure that sweet Cosmo is flying free now with those other special kitties that were waiting for him. This is such sad news. These kitties that have been a part of the board and our lives for so long have a way of fighting and winning these battles and then one day, they must leave us.

((Cyn)) - my heart goes out to you tonight in your sadness. What a gift you gave to your sweet boy - and the cost is yours - sadness and grief in having to say goodbye. But he is free of any pain now - and as that video shows, he was so full of love and such a sweetheart. I'm so sorry that he couldn't stay longer with you (and with us).

All of these furry companions have such a special place in our lives and they bind us all together because we love them so.

I'm sure there is a wonderful party going on at the Bridge tonight - welcoming him to the circle that was waiting for him - other special kitties.

Please know that there are many tonight sending heartfelt prayers of comfort to you - we too will miss your sweet boy. I'm so sorry.

Cyn - I am so sorry. No matter how much we do and that we know in our hearts what is best for our loves. It is never easy when faced with this decision. You did everything possibly and he knows it and loves you.

I'm so sorry, Cyn. It certainly seems that Cosmos touched a lot of people here in Lantus Land.

I'm kind of hoping you just passed out last night and were able to get some sleep, the nights I know will be really hard. :(
My heart is broken in a million little pieces, you know Cosmo was always our special,little hero and he always will be.
Words just aren't enough.

What a nice letter. Cosmo was a special kitty, like my Cecil. Both had many health issues, but still managed to be sweet easy to love kitties!

(((Cynthia))) I just wanted to let you know again how sorry I am for you and Cosmo. Making that decision is the hardest one ever. No matter how long we have them, it is never long enough. He will live in your heart forever.
 
I'm so sorry, Cyn. I'm sitting here bawling. Cosmo was such a special kitty and touched so many lives. You are such an amazing mom and Cosmo knew how much you loved him. He's at peace now and will watch over you and Danger. He's flying free! (((((Cyn, Cosmo and Danger))))) I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh, what a lovely evocative letter, and I got a few little grins out of it. But oh, how it made me burst into tears when I read how you loved to smell his little head.

Cyn, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful little cat, so well-loved and such a little fighter. I know your heart must just be torn apart.

The part about smelling his little head got to me as well. I was sobbing while Kasha looked at me like, "oh no... here she goes again!"...
 
I tried out adding the (GA) to our screenname, but I'm not ready.

He had a very sweet smelling head. And he loved to let me just rest my chin on it, or I could just press my lips against it for as long as I wanted.
I realized years ago that when I smell their heads and think they smell good, what I'm really saying is that I like the smell of the other cat's spit (since they groom each other's heads every day).

He was definitely a character and made me laugh. A lot. He wasn't always the most graceful of kitties, but he sure knew how to love me.

Huge tears for the both of you, so glad it was peaceful, I remember that with Pantaloons. I'm sure she's there to help with all
the other special kitties.

Well...I dunno about ordering the rest around. I think that's General Noisy's job. But Cosmo would be the one ruffling some feathers up there. Nipping at others' hocks and tails. I was re-reading my old blog and one story was about how we were all sitting peacefully together. Then I sat and watched as Cosmo tracked Danger's tail swishing past his face.... and.... then.... CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP.

And Danger's paw went THWACK THWACK THWACK on Cosmo's head. Cosmo just kept gnawing on the tail until I successfully extricate it from his mouth.

(Of course, one of our favorite games was when I would flick his tail in front of his face and watch him try to take a chomp out of his own tail).

Thanks all. Every day is a bit better, but I still can't believe he's not coming back. I downloaded all the pics of him I had posted of him on my blog and when I put it into iphoto and ran it as a slideshow, the song that came on was "You Got a Friend In Me" (I think from Toy Story). I bawled.
 
Dear Cyn,
I am so very sorry, I just signed on after not being here for months it seems to find this post. My heart is breaking for you. You are such a good mom, Cosmo was a lucky, lucky boy. Many tears being shed for you as I read the tribute you wrote. Hugs to you my friend. Fly Free Sweet Cosmo, Fly Free.
