I haven't been here that long. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It's been 6 years since we lost our Precious kitty, and I know exactly what you're going through. We all do. *HUGS*

anniversaries like this one are the ones we'd rather not have to face, aren't they? sending our comforting thoughts your way as well...

Our GA kitties are always in our thoughts. Remember the good times with Squishy Merlin, who is at peace. We just passed Stu's 1-month GA anniversary: it seems like yesterday, but at the same time, ages ago. The perception of time is so intricate and unpredictable. In the past few days there has been discussion in LL about Halloween and how on Halloween the "veil" between the living and those who have gone ahead is at its thinnest--almost transparent. The kitties will be partying on both sides of the veil. The beans will be smiling. Smile and party with your Squishy Merlin!

I am so sorry for your loss....and for the days in this year that you had to face without him. Your memories will always be there, and hopefully will give you comfort and strength as the years go by... Thank you for posting here in LL....we understand. And hopefully the love that we send to you will make up for the callousness of others. We grieve for our precious ones who have GA, ((((Merlin)))) and send loving thoughts to you now, as always...

Thank you for letting us know about and share in your memories of your precious kitty....Squishy Merlin. Anniversaries or memory moments are important. We do understand. Lots of HUGS for you during this time.

So many of us shed tears right along with you last year. Squishy was a much beloved family member in LL.
Many hugs and a little smile for you too, ( you know why!)

Thanks everyone  Thinking about Squishy and all he went through in his last week still brings tears to my eyes  Even though I was a complete mess and worrywart about Squishy, I still vividly remember every little detail of Squishy's last week. Oldtimers will remember the pictures and videos of Squishy in the CCU. They were pretty heartbreaking  I found the post on the old FDMB when I had to rush Squishy to the ER: http://www.felinediabetes.com/phorum5/r ... 22,1894320 Here's a follow up one: http://www.felinediabetes.com/phorum5/r ... 22,1895017 There are more updates but they are on the back up board.

Squishy will always be in our hearts here in LL. I know he is very busy at the bridge sending you signs that he is OK. Could you tell the story one more time about how he got the name Squishy?

My goodness, you and Squishy could never be "OT." I am sending you healing thoughts; I know Squishy is at peace. Hugs to you, many hugs.
