http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/calculating-calories-from-carbohydrates.204051/On the Food Chart Phos. is written as mg /KCals I don't know how to convert it to a % I know for the Kidney disease it should be below 200 the lower the better.
Do you have any idea how to tell if it's low phos ??
I contacted the company for samples. However, they sent samples of the dry food. I didn't clarify that I wanted cans. They may offer samples of the cans. It'd be interesting to find out. BTW my cats adore Dr. Elsey's in every way, shape and form!Wish I could get just a few cans to try before buying a case.
I wish we weren't scatter to all ends of the earth and it didn't cost $$ to ship. I would just buy a case to split.
The website says Petco, Petsmart and Pet Supplies Plus all carry it but not sure if they carry the wet food.

I found this information.
What is a good phosphorus level in cat food?
The recommended phosphorus range on a dry matter basis for cats with CKD is 0.3-0.6%.
It looks like the Phos in Dr. Elsey's canned food is way too high.As far as I can tell all the flavors are High in Phos.
The turkey is 1.08 % that's much higher than what's recommended

nd her phosphorus level isn't actually high (it's mid range), if that matters at all.
Yep. The animal shelter kitties are always in need. I gave them tons of food, meds, litter, fluids and the weigh scale (things that I couldn't ship $$ to people here) after Gizmo passed. The scale was the item they seemed most grateful for.Chewy.com has a money back guarantee. They'll even pay to ship back, but most times they just tell you to donate it to the humane society or shelter.
