A friend called yesterday from the vet parking lot.. her dog was just diagnosed diabetic. He was badly injured by another dog last year and given prednisone. I think this is what did it for him.
She will be going to the vet today to get trained on testing and giving insulin. That vet already lost some of my respect because he said dogs can never be diet controlled diabetics, and I know that is not true. Its more rare than in cats, but still possible.
He is a little yorkshire terrier, I think. Not my favourite animal, but they love him so I will help as I can.
