--I have twin black cats, Bonnie & Clyde. They are going on 15 years.
I had been giving them hairball treats periodically in the past few years, along with Purina dry turkey (green bag), plus friskies wet food.
Clyde developed FD symptoms 1 year ago, (their brother died from this in the past)
I took Clyde off all dry food, kept him on friskies wet food. Still urinating excessively, vomiting everyday.
Then I stopped the hairball treats, within weeks, he improved.
They both now eat only Friskies wet food, and a tiny bit of Evo dry meat food before going to bed, which he doesn't really eat, but his sister likes it. Three small meals a day.
His urinating is almost back to normal, he only vomits once or twice a month, and he is catching mice.
No insulin, as I can't catch him to inject, not fast enough since my knees are bad.
