Hi everyone!
So Lily has been off of insulin for 6 days, about 8 if you don't count the .25u I gave her on the 19th. She was diagnosed on 11/2/23, so these new low numbers and our current status have me hopeful, confused, and a little concerned!
If you look at her spreadsheet, you'll see that some of her recent readings have been pretty low. She isn't showing any signs of hypo - she's eating (maybe a little less than usual but that might be because we've been trying out new low carb foods since her diagnosis), sleeping, playing, active enough.
With her PMPS of 55 tonight before her dinner, I gave her a higher carb wet food mixed in with the one I would've given her. It's the Weruva Love Munchkin food that has 10% carbs, so within the allowed range for diabetics, but higher than we've been giving her. I've been trying to stay in the 4-6% range.
Any ideas for what might be going on? I brought up low numbers to our vet and he didn't seem concerned, but that was before she hit 55 tonight. I'm going to test her at some point before I go to sleep. I've got high carb dry food and temptations if people think it might be good to get her numbers a little higher.
