If he is dropping lower I will give him honey . Am I doing right ?I just read your other post - if he is shaking please give Honey or Karo ASAP! rub it on his gums if you can

. They were around 18% carbs. pouch were around 70 gr each plus he has some snacks … he was starving so I gave him as he was keep asking… I will test him again soon and update you5.3 = 95 that is a safe number. I'm very happy the Medium Carb was enough to bring Noah up safely.
How big were the pouches of medium carb food, how many grams? Do you know the % of carbs in the dry food?
Please test again in 20 minutes.
7.2 after half an hour without extra food … he is leading up… shall I check in 1 hour ?5.3 = 95 that is a safe number. I'm very happy the Medium Carb was enough to bring Noah up safely.

That 18% makes it High Carb food. Will you be able to keep testing him for at least two hours after feeding the dry? They were around 18% carbs.
Sure looks like it. I think checking in an hour is a great. Don't forget to get yourself a snack too. Cats shouldn't be allowed to have all the fun7.2 after half an hour without extra food … he is leading up… shall I check in 1 hour ?
Thank you so muchThat 18% makes it High Carb food. Will you be able to keep testing him for at least two hours after feeding the dry?
YOU DID VERY WELL.
What I do when I get a number that LOW (which for me was yesterday morning,) I go to the Sticky on how to handle low numbers which I printed out, added the first item, and keep with the meter:
Test again to make sure it wasn't a bad strip.Make sure to give yourself a snack too. Low numbers are hard on the humans
- Depending on how carbohydrate sensitive your cat is, feed approximately a teaspoon or less of gravy from high carb food or high carb food only. (If you have a cat with GI issues, using a couple of drops of syrup plus low carb food is an alternative.)
- Test again in 15 – 20 min. Depending on the numbers, give more HC food.
- Repeat the above steps every 15 – 20 min. until your cat tests in the 50 mg/dL (2.8 mmol/L) or above range for 2 consecutive tests. Continue to feed in small amounts to keep numbers in a safe range.
- Test in 30 - 40 min. and repeat the test and feed process until there are 2 consecutive tests where numbers are stable or rising.
- Test in an hour and follow the same steps.

Ok and thanksI had that happen. I think most likely it was fine especially since you didn’t smell anything. I think you most likely are seeing another bounce which is understandable given how low the bg was. I’d just get a before bed test and don’t worry.
Got itNever give a 2nd shot. It doesn't matter if you gave a shot that in one side of the skin and and you saw insulin shoot out the other side, never give more insulin. You just don't know if any or how much went in.
