Doing SLGS I hope I'm doing my SS correctly. Jack's Lantus was just increased today to 1.5u. I also did a curve today. his numbers just don't seem to be changing. Also my husband is having surgery tomorrow morning and I will need to give Jack his shot early by 2 hours, I don't know what to do and if that will be ok or not. Thank you all in advance. Please let me know if all of my info is avaliable. Vicky and Jack

No later than 1 hopefully. Sonce we've only been at this for such a short I've not been able to get family trained yet to be here in our absence.

Did you shoot 1 unit tonight? With SLGS, increases are by 0.25 units but it looks like you did 0.5 up this morning?

Sorry, wrong number for tonight. 1.5 units for this morning and for tonight. He had a fructosomin done yesterday. And vet called and wanted him to go to 1.5.

Please keep the spreadsheet up to date. The first thing I do, and anyone experienced at dosing suggestions should do, is to open the spreadsheet. As for increasing by 0.5 units and shooting two hours early, as Elise said, not a good idea. To keep him safe, perhaps best to just skip tomorrow morning, assuming there aren't ketones in the picture. With a skip, you can focus on your husband and not worry about Jack.

Tifmaxi,
No I was NOT planning on shooting 2 hours early. I was asking for advice as I asked in my original thread.
I choose not to give Jack his morning shot, since I would not be home. And unable to watch him. He has no keotones.
Thank you to all.

May I ask why every thought I was shooting him 2 hours early?
I was asking if it would be OK OR NOT?
I ADDED MY EXACT POST.

looks like one member may have read your post as if you were definitely planning on it, not just asking whether or not it was ok. This happens -- please understand that the angels on here who give their free time and energy to help strangers and their cats are often providing assistance to many, many fur parents across the forum in many different threads. So it can happen where something is miss-read or miss-understood.

Thanks for your understanding.

Sorry, wrong number for tonight. 1.5 units for this morning and for tonight.
It still shows 1.0 units for last night.

As for today, it's fine if you skipped a shot. He should get back on track quickly. Maybe put "skip" or "NS" in the units column of the spreadsheet, so we know it was deliberate instead of just forgetting to update the spreadsheet.

I'm including a post that might have some tips for you, next time you have to be out of the house and cannot monitor closely. And many of the suggestions work regardless of dosing method being used: Is Tight Regulation Possible with a Full Time Job? Yes!
