KitKat was just diagnosed with diabetes. We're going to start on insulin. Im still at the vet right now. I do not know how to make a spreadsheet. Can someone please help?

I will update new information very soon for this cat. They said she has low keytones. .2 I am still waiting for more information. They haven't even brought her back yet. I'm still in the room waiting.

Hi Shell, I am sorry to see you have a second kitty with feline diabetes. Once you get your bearings I am sure we can get you set up with things. Since you are there, it might be worth getting a copy of the lab work, just as a baseline for things for KitKat, which would include the details of FD diagnosis. If you need help with setting up the new SS, it’s not a problem. I can’t open Pumpkin’s SS anymore, it looks to be deleted.

It was deleted, but I hadn't deleted it. Yes.

No official diagnose , because when the vet returned after what sounded like a confident diagnosis od diabetes, upon 2nd look Fructosamine was normal. So, an official diagnosis was not stated. I'm supposed to recheck Fructosamine in a couple of weeks.

She does seen a perfect candidate. The vet didn’t prescribe Lantus yet. She is a little chunky. No excessive water intake or urination previously seen.

Lab results:
Blood glucose: approximately 340 mg/dL
Fructosamine: 241 (within the laboratory's normal reference range)
Blood ketones: 0.2
Urine ketones: negative

In other words, may have been a stress response. But, highly sus for pre-Diabetes at this point.

That’s great if she hadn’t been showing signs of increased drinking/peeing. Could be stress at vet’s, did they do a urinalysis also to see if there was glucose in the urine? You are equipped to test at home, you might want to do some spot checks of BG for KitKat, and see what those numbers look like when there isn’t the stress factor. Is she on on the same diet as Pumpkin?
