Info NEW BOARD POLICY ON FUNDRAISING

Treating feline diabetes and associated conditions such as DKA, can get quite expensive for members. We understand some members may need some financial assistance.

The Moderators and Administrator have determined members may post a thread with their fundraising link to a fundraising platform in Fundraising under “More Topics” provided they follow the below conditions:

• Members must first request verification from the Moderators and Administrator prior to posting a new fundraising thread in the section above. The Moderators and Administrator will advise the member once they have determined if the member meets the meet basic verification criteria (active posting history, known cat, spreadsheet, etc.).
• Links to fundraising on the thread can only be for the member’s diabetic cat.
• The member may mention in their daily thread they have a fundraiser initiated, once verified by the Moderators and Administrator, but links to fundraising may not be within their daily thread. Verified members may only post the link in a thread within the Fundraising section of the board.
• The member must also post the following statement on their specific fundraising thread:

“FDMB and its moderators do not evaluate financial need, endorse, or verify individual fundraisers beyond confirming the member’s community presence.
Donations are made at your own discretion and risk. FDMB assumes no responsibility for the accuracy or outcome of any fundraiser."

Any threads not verified first by the Moderators and Administrator or not following the above conditions will be removed.
