600 posts later, maybe we are over the hump? I sure hope so. It’s 3 am. But, we got over the tired thing a while ago. Music and food. If the numbers are good, we can keep our cheerful attitude. Fingers crossed.

You know, I am not sure. I would try a 50/50 mix? You may have to play around with it. Although I have to say that the golden syrup worked pretty well. You can do more of it if you want to.

I think it’s too thick and choky. It also has a flavor. At least sugar is blank and watery.

Sugar takes longer to break down in the body than honey. I would stick with the honey but not too much because it might make him sick

Cats who get too much insulin can go on for over 16 hours. Hopefully he’ll go up naturally soon. You have all had a long day/night. I am just back from by am apt and can stay around for a few hours

Okay. You can try. He kept dropping on the honey.... but then again maybe he wasn't getting enough.
Yes... I read about the 16+ hour thing with an overdose... but we are past that for sure... we were hopeful when we passed the 16 hour mark.

He’s not hungry anymore. He ate a few hours ago and then had syrup. His appetite was great for hours. I think he just got full.

No I don’t think so. I doubt they would put him on a glucose drip with a BG of 6.2
And if they kept him there you would not have control of the situation at all.
