Well, wait a bit before giving more sweet stuff.Should we give more sweet stuff? He almost threw up the last lot, but we calmed him down and made him keep it. He’s a good boy.

Y’all are amazing600 posts later, maybe we are over the hump? I sure hope so. It’s 3 am. But, we got over the tired thing a while ago. Music and food. If the numbers are good, we can keep our cheerful attitude. Fingers crossed.
She has seen an earlier version. I texted it to her along with the numbers. I will update her tomorrow.Vet should see that.
I would give something sweet. Maybe the water won’t sit quite as hard on his stomach…. Not as thick?Maybe we should give sugar water now?
Ok… dissolve as much sugar as will dissolve, right? Into how much water, though?I would give something sweet. Maybe the water won’t sit quite as hard on his stomach…. Not as thick?
You know, I am not sure. I would try a 50/50 mix? You may have to play around with it. Although I have to say that the golden syrup worked pretty well. You can do more of it if you want to.Ok… dissolve as much sugar as will dissolve, right? Into how much water, though?
YesA teaspoon?
I think it’s too thick and choky. It also has a flavor. At least sugar is blank and watery. You know, I am not sure. I would try a 50/50 mix? You may have to play around with it. Although I have to say that the golden syrup worked pretty well. You can do more of it if you want to.
Exactly. Sugar water is just sweet and watery. No flavor except sweet.I think it’s too thick and choky. It also has a flavor. At least sugar is blank and watery.
OkayOk. Dosing him with sugar water now. 2 teaspoons of sugar, 2.5 of water.
I went outside and can see lots of stars. No moon yet. It’s been so big and beautiful the last several days. I think it must not be high enough in the sky yet.We are wondering if you can see the moon, too.
Yes. Lol. Went out to look for the moon! Are you still there?
I’m not sure. Right now, I am just on my phone again so I keep refreshing too. Although I do get an alert of a new post - but if I am not looking at the screen at the right time it goes away. I can check my alerts at the top of the screen too.I am on an ipad though, so maybe limited features
There’s a lot to read!Just arrived home and checking on. I can’t believe you are still going. My goodness…thank heavens you were hometesting the BGs.
Will read to catch up
Hi Bron!! Marathon here. There’s a lot to read!
6.7 to 6.2So from 7.5 to 6.2?
Yes. He almost vomited last time they did honey.Sugar takes longer to break down in the body than honey. I would stick with the honey but not too much because it might make him sick
Cats who get too much insulin can go on for over 16 hours. Hopefully he’ll go up naturally soon. You have all had a long day/night. I am just back from by am apt and can stay around for a few hoursHow long can it be before he will go up into his more typical numbers!
Actually that was golden syrup. We can do honey again.Yes. He almost vomited last time they did honey.
Do you think we should take him to the vet, after all this?Cats who get too much insulin can go on for over 16 hours. Hopefully he’ll go up naturally soon. You have all had a long day/night. I am just back from by am apt and can stay around for a few hours
Okay. You can try. He kept dropping on the honey.... but then again maybe he wasn't getting enough.
He’s not hungry anymore. He ate a few hours ago and then had syrup. His appetite was great for hours. I think he just got full. How is his appetite? Is he still eating for you or has he had his fill of food?
I think golden syrup would be more sickly than honey…..but too much of either will make them sick.
No I don’t think so. I doubt they would put him on a glucose drip with a BG of 6.2Do you think we should take him to the vet, after all this?
WaitingHe’s due a 20 minute read in one minute
