Have you ever tried sugar water. Sugar dissolved in water. Like hummingbird nectar. Make it as strong as you can and syringe it in.

Okay. That's good. I just want to say thank, God. I was just about to say that Karo syrup has a higher glycemic index than honey. This is what I read (meaning it makes BG go up faster.) So I am thinking, if you don't have karo syrup aka corn syrup, that you can try mixing sugar and water together in a pretty strong mixture and giving it in a syringe (carefully at the side of the mouth) to Merlin.

If you have any Tate and Lyle golden syrup Jill use that as that's very similar to karo syrup.
