I know! I think we are all starting to Crash and Burn! And that has me concerned. We've gotta keep going. I am the most likely to keep going because it's only 8 o'clock here. Yes, I got up at 5, but I can keep going a long time on coffee. I'm just concerned about Jill and her daughter.
 
Now this might seem a stupid thing to say but could it be possible that Merlins pancreas is working and producing his own insulin and keeping him at a decent number. It's just something that's going around in my head that the insulin has kick started him, stupid thoughts i know but.

Not stupid. We are all trying to think about what's going on here... but I am kind of waiting for Merlin to go back up into his more "typical" numbers before he had insulin (based on the spreadsheet data of the last few days.) I don't think his pancreas could start functioning that quickly, do you?

No to be honest, but wouldn't it be nice if it did.
 
The good news, I hope, is that we are approaching 16 hours and hopefully the insulin will wear off. I am being optimistic. How's Duke?
 
Jill, just shoot us a message so we know you are awake. Say... I'm here... and tell us how many minutes until next scan... or next reading you got.
 
4.8 is not a dangerous number, but I am concerned about you. Did you ever get enough honey into him. Two .5 mL is not enough. That's only two tenths of a teaspoon.
 
And, mark this, I would NEVER say this unless he was still in very safe numbers! He is in very safe numbers. We need him to just start getting back into his more typical pre-insulin numbers!

Okay, so 3.6 (65) is still a very safe number. Non-diabetic cats are at 3.6 plenty of the time. We just have to get his number to rise. I would scan that bloomin' Libre every ten minutes if it would let me.... until we see a rise.
 
You are exhausted. Merlin doesn't seem to be responding to the honey. Perhaps it would be best to take him to the vet. How many minutes since you gave the honey? If it was 15 minutes, then I agree with Tee, you should call the vet. 3.9 is still a safe number, but it's been over 16 hours since his shot and he's too low for that.... although he's not in danger of real hypoglycemia or brain/organ damage (don't let anyone tell you that he is!) Poor dear, Merlin and poor dear, you, Jill.
