I have been away from this board for quite a while. We are now living in NY and my vet isn't the greatest. I seem to remember something about injectable B 12...methylcobalamin? How do you get it. My vet has never herd of the "methyl" part. Buddy has been diabetic for 6 yrs now. It has all ben easy until this last year. We are trying to regulate his BG and it IS coming down. I think we have a problem with neuropathy, though. I just need some advice.

Thanks so much.

Here is info about methyl B12 (aka methylcobalamin) and where to buy it: http://www.laurieulrich.com/jasper/ People here use the pills or liquid. Health food/vitamin stores will have it. Injectable methyl B12 is only available through a vet. Not all vets are familiar with using methyl B12 to treat neuropathy. Regular B12 injections/pills/liquid does not help the neuropathy.

The lst time I brought it up, she didn't even know how to dose it. She is really good about learning newthings, though, so if someone could walk her through it...
I'll take a look at that link. Thanks.
