Please take a look at Domino's spreadsheet and give me opinions on what dose for his PM shot. It is due in the next 30 minutes (sorry I am just now posting, have had internet trouble all weekend). As you will see, he was down to 40 today. His usual pattern has been to go low and then bounce high for a few days. Do I need to decrease?

Very nice! I think you could stand a .25u reduction to 1.75u. Generally a 40 is grounds for automatic reduction. How does that sound to you?

I agree with Carolyn.

Also, if things don't change for Puff tonight (if she doesn't get blue or green tonight), I would go ahead and increase her to 1.75 in the morning. Puff deserves nice numbers too. :smile:

I will reduce Domino to 1.75 immediately and see what kind of numbers we get -- if it is like normal they will be high for a couple of days.

I will also increase Puff to 1.75 tomorrow also, but as you can see I had him there once before and it does not seem to help.

Also, Domino and Puff are both males (I know you can't tell by their names).

Sorry, I must have been mixing you up with someone else who has two cats, male and female. Oops!

Hi Connie! Welcome back.

Just out of curiosity, how did you handle Domino's 40? If you feel like having some input about how to steer low numbers, we're happy to lend a hand. And BTW, good luck with the decrease.

It looks like you are on target - Puff is due for a dose increase.

Sometimes they need to see the reduction a few times before it holds...Morris is like that but after the 2nd or 3rd time it DOES hold. If it doesn't hold, no harm done, just go right back to the old dose....according to protocol you don't need to wait 3 - 5 days, although I will usually give it 2-3 days to clear any rebound.

With the 40, I gave Domino high carb FF to bring his numbers up. He never showed any signs of hypo, but I wanted to be safe. Even with the high carb he did not bounce far above 100 for several hours.
