Hi all. I think I was right about the OTU meter being defective. I'm using the Freestyle Lite meter all day today, and at Nadir, she was at 167 - perfect!!! I'm so happy about these numbers, I could just shout it out! She appears to be feeling better as well. I do like the Freestyle Lite meter b/cause the strips only require a teency amount of blood and it is applied on the side of the strip. I cannot get Murphy to stop hating the ear prick thing though. She is most unhappy about that, not anything else. I don't know how you all do it while kitties are sleeping!

But, today is a great day for Murphy. Everyone send her a hug!!!

Hi.. nice day for Murphy!
I missed you last night so I didn't have a chance to remind you about linking your previous days' condo to the first post of each day...it helps to keep things organized and we can easily click on the link to see what happened the day before...make sense?
So here is the link to yesterday for you: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=25951

I'm just so thankful I figured out that something was wrong with the meter. Guess my intuition is pretty good. I'm so happy for her. She's just really getting blessed. God sure has his hands on her, that's all I can say. Brings tears to my eyes. She's really had a rough one dealing with feline asthma and the un-Dx'd diabetes. Poor baby, but she's got better days ahead. I'll make sure of that.

Next time you have a vet visit, bring both meters and compare the vet's BG levels with your meters. It's one way to know which meter is accurate.
