Multiple issues and what to feed.

Monster has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. We have multiple issues to cover. Struvite crystals, higher calcium from Bexacat in the past, UTI’s , constipation, and diabetes. When I tried tiki cat we had some pretty bad issues bladder related . We ran out of food and money and only had tiki cat glycobalance and RC urinary so in the cupboard's. I had no choice to feed both foods today. Unfortunately she loves the tiki cat shreds. I tried the ph balance tiki cat and that’s where things got really bad when I gave her both tiki cat formulas and no so food. I did this over a two week transition. She still threw up and got crystals and a uti. The glycoadvanced from royal canin is too high in carb 10.5 % . We had just cut out dry and had to add it back in. Every time I try to start insulin something brings it to a crashing hult. I am feeling extremely stressed and burnt out. I tried to shave her for the libre and she cut my hand to shreds. I managed to get her shaved and get keytones which are .01 today so managing that. Bg was 400 on pet meter and human meter said error. She is not cooperating at all when I am trying to test her. Runs away, growls, hisses and bites me. How the heck am I going to do this when she is on insulin and it is crucial. I am extremely frustrated at this point and contemplating going back on Bexacat.

My guy had idiopathic hypercalcemia, hx of struvite crystals, FLUTD and was pretty picky with food. I originally was on C/D for urinary stuff, then Tiki cat dark series, Then Koha limited ingredient beef ( which was great for awhile just hard to find) , and finally the RC glycobalance and weruva truluxe canned for a long time. We only switched when his renal values started to creep up and then IBD was an issue. It's insanely frustrated but....you just do what you can. I tried to find a balance between a great diet , lower carbs and phos and decent BGs when things got too heavy. Is remission the goal- absolutely. Is it always the next stop on this journey- no. I found a safe dose and would pause... sometimes he would be in the 200s for a bit - flat and safe. I also tested on his toes, not his ears.
I didn't have issues with Pancreatitis though so, that's a whole new bag of tricks.
I hope things get better for you too, but cut yourself some slack. It's hard and all you can do is the best you can do. ❤️
