Mr. Moggy Cat has gone

Mr Moggy Cat has gone to wait at the rainbow bridge. He fought the good fight, surviving far longer than anyone thought possible.

He was diagnosed as diabetic on Christmas Eve 2010, sadly it turned out that was the least of his problems. After months of tests and treatments he was found to be suffering from lymphoma (I'm not sure how to spell that). Moggy was peacefully sent to heaven early this afternoon. It's all still so surreal, I keep waiting for him to come walking into the room. We're all in a bit of a state of shock. I know it was for the best and he's in a better place, but I wasn't ready to say good bye.

I wanted to thank everyone here for the support and advice I was given when Moggy was diagnosed. I did everything I was supposed to, it just wasn't enough in the end.

Aw, Sarah, I am so sorry you lost your beautiful Mr. Moggy. I know how much you tried to help him. You have my deepest and most heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your boy. My heart goes out to you wings_cat

Oh Sarah, I am so sorry you have lost your sweet Moggy. You gave him a great life full of love and were brave enough to let him go when he was ready. I hope your memories will ease your sorrow. It does hurt everytime you look for him and he isn't there, but the fact you are missing him is a testament to how big a part of your life he was. Such a wonderful gift for a kitty.

I'm sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.
He is free from pain now, and happy, and waiting to be with you again one day.
((((Sarah)))))

Fly free Mr Moggy land softly

Big big hugs for you. You have my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beautiful Moggy. He was such a fighter.

Thank you everyone.

I think if it had just been the diabetes we would have been okay, but he just had too much wrong all at the same time. It was too much for my little man and the kindest thing was to let him go. I knew it was just a matter of time, but it was still so sudden and such a shock. I honestly thought we'd take him in and he'd be given drugs and sent home.

We go on, we never forget but we go on.

Sarah,

I am so sorry. Moggy knows how much you love him and he is still with you in spirit. My heart goes out to you.

I am so sorry for your loss.

You have a good view of this...do not blame yourself.

May all your best memories of Mr. Moggy Cat bring you comfort...

...'til you meet again.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I have had to say goodbye to 2 of my kitties in the last 6 months.
Its not easy to say goodbye, just remember the happy times.

Thank you everyone.

I have to go into the vet today and take in Moggy's sharps box and I have unopened insulin that hopefully can go to someone who needs it. I also have to pick out his casket so he can come home. I'm also waiting on his last blood test results. I don't know why I want to know the results, but I do.

Thank you all for the wonderful support you've all given since we were diagnosed. I would have be totally lost without this board.

Dearest Sarah,

I am so truly sorry to hear about Mr. Moggy Cat...

Sometimes, no matter what our resolve is, circumstances greater than anything we imagine change our destiny... And, break our hearts...

Bless you for being so incredibly brave on his behalf. You were his champion! You put his precious heart before your own... It is the ultimate gift.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences, dearest Sarah. And, please take good care of you. Grief takes time; but, hearts do heal because memories live on and love endures...

I can't tell you when it will happen, but it will happen. One day, you will simply find yourself smiling because your heart will be overwhelmed with great memories of Mr. Moggy Cat...

Fly free, precious Mr. Moggy Cat! Wear your handsome new wings proudly! Visit your mommy's dreams to let her know you're free and running strong again. Gizzie will tell you how, since she's cleared her dance card at The Bridge just for you, precious boy...

Much love and countless gentle hugs,
Deb and Nikki -- and, Giz, forever whispering and dancing in my heart...

The Last Battle

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
