Mr. Fluff Urgently Needs a Foster Home

The Montgomery County SPCA (in Maryland) took in Mr. Fluff several months ago after he landed in the shelter following his owner's death. About a month ago, he was diagnosed with diabetes and began insulin injections. His foster mom was taking this all in stride because she is an amazing human being but then two nights ago she broke her wrist. She lives alone so giving Mr. Fluff insulin injections, as well as other medications he was already on, is very difficult. So we are desperately searching for a new foster home for him. His personality is as great as his looks. Here's his bio: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/mr-fl...on-grove/montgomery-county-spca-md04/details/

Please reach out to the MCPSCA at mcspcacats@hotmail.com if you can foster this wonderful guy or have any questions you need answered before signing up to foster the deserving Mr. Fluff.

Thank you!

I’m so sorry that I can’t take this sweet boy. I already promised my partner that five cats is our maximum number of cats. And I think this time he’s serious 😅

Mr. Fluff’s story is almost exactly the same as my Moonie’s. Her first and only mom got very ill and had to go to a nursing home. Then her second caregiver was much older and became overwhelmed by her needs especially as the other cat was severely bullying her. She was listed as 16 and special needs in the shelter, and had been at her foster for months without any inquiries. What I love and admire about Moonie the most is her resilience and courage. She has been through so much and has every reason to distrust humans or shut down from life. But she came home with a cautiously open heart, ready to love and trust despite it all.

I’m sorry for the long essay. Just reading his Petfinder page gave me a lot of Deja vu. I really really hope that Mr. Fluff finds his forever home. If there is anything I can do to help, even if I can’t be that lucky home for him, please let me know.

Connie, thanks so much for reading Mr. Fluff's story. Too bad your partner is (probably) serious about meeting the max number of cats. Moonie's story does sound so much like Mr. Fluff's. He has so much love left to give. We just have to find the right person for him so any help you can do to spread the word would be wonderful. The MCSPCA will cover all of his medical/vet expenses so hopefully that helps get him a great home.

I’ll definitely keep an eye out for anyone who may be a good fit! Thank you
