His reading is 26 and he is just starting go hypo...head shaking, got lost behind the toilet, weakness in walking. I gave him medium carb and he has eaten the whole can already....she I let him eat more???

Re: ANYONE HERE MORRIS IS CLINICAL HYPOING

You shouldn't let him eat a whole can at once. Do you have karo and any high carb food?

Sorry I left for a few minutes. Computer problems.

I'm glad to hear Morris is OK. Poor guy. I just went through the same thing myself tonight with Mally. It makes your heart skip several beats!

It looks like you've got things under control.

Yes, I was just reading your condo....you had a pretty hectic day/night! It's funny how one cat can be 21 and be perfectly OK and another can have clinical signs at the same number. Fortunately, Morris always wakes me up when he is hypoing....this is the third time since he's been on Levemir. I was a little bit leery of upping his dose last night but it looked like his reduction wasn't holding so went ahead with it.

I saw that you are reducing to .10u tomorrow/today...Morris was down to .10 before he got sick on Jan 3rd and I've had to steadily raise him. Now he's on his way back down again.

Mally's been diabetic for such a short time and now on such a low dose, you may get lucky...anti-jinx.

Good Job Brenda (and Morris) ;-) You have be careful not to over fill him when he's low (especially if it is still earlier in the cycle) in case he needs to eat more to bring him up again later. Guess he earned a decrease (or a return to his previous dose). Getting lost behind the toilet..... :? Should we add this to the list of possible hypo symptoms

Thank goodness he recovered quickly, good catch on your part.

When you get a chance, can you add your link to yesterday? I'm so glad Morris is on his way back down the scale, he must be feeling better again.

Chris was awake to support (thank god)!. Goodness Brenda how scary that must have been. Sooo glad you brought him up fast. How is he now?

Way to go Morris! :RAHCAT
So glad you're back up; good luck on the dose crease, or is it a dose revisit? :-D

Morris,
Please listen. No more scary stuff, OK? Be a good kitty and let your bean recover now!

Brenda I just read Morris' profile. How scary you have had it with his hypo's. Is he still blind and deaf?

My heart stopped when I saw this!! My Poor Morris--Going to the Vet today??
Hoping Morris will be well real soon--Just what he needed was a hypo!!!-Poor Boy--HUGS~!!!!!!!!!
