Moose passed away Christmas eve

He stumbled, fell over and started panting heavily. His color was very pale. A short time later he took his last breathe in my arms. The vet suspects heart attack. moose was pushing 18 years of age and loved Christmas. He had a very rocky start to life. As a small kitten he was thrown from an 8th floor window. I nursed him back to health but not without issues. Most of life he was a crabby old man. Until he was dx about 6 years ago with diabetes. The big boy would seek me out whenever he didn't feel good. Even as he was going he came to me
Without all the wonderful people here he would not have made thru the very rough start to his diabetes. Thank you to everyone. Please don't stop the amazing help and advice you all give all us newbies. Liz and moose-the newest star in the sky.

I am so sorry for your loss, and at this time of the year makes it even more tragic. I lost one of my kitties a year ago tonight. I'm sure she is welcoming your Moose to the ever enjoyful illness free Rainbow Bridge. ((Liz))

I am so sorry for your loss. My Miss (Jeze)Belle just went over the bridge a week ago today. i like to think she's there to meet Moose with a big grin, as they swap stories of the great lives they had hete with the beans who loved them so dearly. Please know you're in my thoughts.

I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like Moose died in just the place he wanted to be---your arms were special to him. As hard as it is to let go, remember he had a long good life because you took care of him.

I am so sorry for your loss.

What terrible timing. Then again, Moose went doing what he liked--enjoying the
Christmas season. He did not linger and died in your loving arms.

May all your wonderful memories of Moose bring you comfort...

...'til you meet again.

Moose sounds so much like my wonderful Charlie Bear... Sir Charles... or my Charlie.... He was abused as a kitten by college kids that tried to teach him to be a dog.... He would never lower himself to do that... not horribly abused (my son and roommate), but he had no idea how to be a cat...

At 18, after six years of FDMB love and treatment, my boy struggled to get to me... screaming... and was rushed to ER... he died with me... knowing he was loved.... knowing I would fix the pain... and sadly I did.

We can be glad now that they are at the bridge, they will never know fear or pain again, and we'll be able to hold them and love each other when our time has come. Moose was lucky... he arrived on Christmas Eve at Rainbow Bridge... What a wonderful day to arrive.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

(((Moose))) rb_icon thoughts & prayers of peace, comforted by memories are with you during this difficult time :YMHUG:

Another star to light Jesus' path to earth. I'm so sorry for your loss but rejoice in the life Moose shared with you for 18 years...He now lives on in your heart.
Fly free Moose, on the wings of angels, fly free.

I'm so sorry for your loss .

He left during his favorite holiday in your arms. He left w/ a lot of love and took yours with him as well.
lucky kitty to have landed so softly in your care after being thrown 8 stories down. 18 years may be a lot of cat years....... but it is never enough time, is it.

Fly Free sweet Moose wings_cat

I am so sorry for your loss. Moose is special because he went to Rainbow Bridge on the eve of Jesus birth. I know he was welcomed home by the angels.
