Starting out really high today. There seems to be a lot of red lately. I am wondering if this is rebound and need less insulin or reality and need more insulin. I know I won't be able to tell without additional numbers at night, but it is hard to get up every 2-3 hours for a curve and be bright for work.

Any suggestions?

no dosing advice ... just wanted to say that I hope harley comes down for you today and you start seeing better numbers, have a great monday!

I'm one of those people who need my beauty sleep too so I just do a day curve on Sundays or Saturdays when I'm home. That should help the dose experts here give you some advice.

Good luck

Who took care of Harley when you were away this time? Was Harley at the U of MN? If not, I'm wondering about the accuracy of how insulin was measured. Barring any issues with boarding or a petsitter and associated stress, I'd look at this like a bounce until you've been home to sort out what's going on.

(i really don't think you shot 605.0u this morning, did you?)

oops - type-O on the insulin. The pet sitter was a senior veterinary student from the U. I would assume she was pretty accurate with the insulin, so I would go with the stress of having someone else here. I will watch the numbers and maybe get a couple of readings along the way.

Harley started at 406. I panicked at the +6. I came home and he was 238 - not bad. But then I thought that I was not going to be home for another 5 hours and I fed him. Now he is 330. Still not too bad.

I will not be going any where for a while. Now I want to concentrate on getting a good dose for him.
