Miralax dosing?

Hey guys, I just got Jake some Miralax (well the generic version) and I want to know how much I should give him. He's been pooping at least once a day from what I can tell, however his belly looks like he's impacted and I want to get things moving. Any suggestions??

i think i started out at about 1/4 tsp once a day mixed in with food and plenty of water (increase water in food to increase motility in gut).
worked up to 1/2 tsp twice a day as needed but really rarely more than 1/2 tsp a day.
 
I'm currently giving Pauline 1/8tsp 2x/day....mixed into canned food with about 1 tsp water added.
Pauline is a small cat (5#).

Smokey was on 1/4 tsp 2x/day.

HOWEVER....if no results in 24 hours, and he really is impacted, a vet visit is in order for
a cleanout.

A laxative given behind an impaction can cause greater problems. The new, softer stool just
backs up behind the impaction.
 
I give Spot 1/4 tsp at each meal and it helps him alot.

backs up behind the impaction." It may be wise to take Jake to the vet to rule out any impaction before giving the miralax, just as a precautionary measure.

Joey gets a sprinkling over each meal, which is abt half a can. Maybe a finger pinch?
It's probably not even 1/8 tsp. but it's doing the trick. I just hope this stuff is not saving up for some harmful side effect.

I bought the CVS copycat version. A few bucks here and there.......
 
Jake left a large present in the poop dome today results were fast, gave it to him this morning and got a nice one around 10am :)
