Kitty is doing well and seems to be settling happily into her temporary home. After spending most of her time the first month she was here in my bathtub, she agreed a couple of days ago that it would be okay with her to move her bed to the vanity in my bathroom. It's a lot more interesting up there, and she has a great vantage point to watch for cats who suffer memory brief lapses and accidentally stray into her bathroom. That doesn't happen often. Her food is still in the tub, because no one except her would think to go in there to eat.

My recovering junk food junkie has been off dry food for a week now. I'm so proud of her!

She was an indoor/outdoor cat in her previous home, and she and I went out for the first time here yesterday. I was happy to see that she knows exactly where she lives and will come back inside, even if a cat or two is sitting on the steps leading to our apartment. She walked by PK and Honey without even a hiss.

The vet suggested waiting until she was off dry food for a week before raising her dose. It's been a week, and I'm thinking she needs more insulin. She's getting 1u of Lev twice a day now.

she really seems to be settling in nicely! congrats in getting her off of dry so quickly. :-D
i think you could probably take the dose up to 1.25 units...
