My job interview was canceled and now its rescheduled for tomorrow. That was lucky since I caught Blackie below 40. Fed him 1/2 can of LC Friskies.

I missed his shot yesterday morning, probably emptying out his shed. Should I stay with the current dose?

Hi,

with such a low number number even around nadir need to monitor bg, could drop low again.Might want some MC at least. I'm assuming you know how Blackie respnds when he drops having been doing this awhile

Anything below a 40 in a slightly longer term diabetic (I got you as Feb last year?) is a definite decrease.

Wow, take a look at Blackie, Ken! I believe a dose decrease is in order here!

Sorry about your interview being canceled, but like you said, it turned out to be a good thing!

Whoops, yeah I meant to say under 50. Its been 7 months post-dx.

LC does an excellent job when hes that low.

Thanks guys. Will reduce to 4.5 units (for the 2nd time) tonight. Hopefully it'll stick this time.

Just a quick query.

You say 7 months post DX but it says Feb 2009 in your signature?

If you find consistently that a dosecrease doesn't hold, then you 'make' them work for it and only give it if they go under 40.
Need to be confident and able to monitor if you do this. Thin line and need to know your cat well.

Happy dosecrease

sorry.

Thanks, I think it is because I'm European, was reading it wrong.
You should probably be sticking with under 50 for now = dosecrease. Only if you keep finding not sticking would Iconsider looking at under 40.

Good luck
