Hello,

I Just called and scheduled an appointment with a new vet.

What should i ask. I told him that i want blood test and famous glucosamine.

Hopefully he can help this cat and find out if there is anything else going on.

Also do you guys recommend any health insurance? or have health insurance?. I am aware will not cover for his diabetes but if anything else going on they might cover for that. vets prices in NYC are astronomical.

HI,

we got blue and tomorrow we are going to the new vet.
Hopefully this new vet has experience (everyone says they have and then they just don't help or care ) with diabetes.

Health insurance is often pricey. I have healthy paws that I got when my cats wet less than a year. They raise the price annually. You can google and get quotes from several. I think Pet’s Best is supposed to be good but as everything else changes annually. Price where I live are ridiculous which means the insurance costs more as well.

Some vets have their own packages. Mine has what they call Care Club. You might check to see what the new vet has if you like him/her.

The 6.0 dose is starting to work again with the blue bg as I expected. You will likely see green tonight or tomorrow and then you need to worry about going too low.

Not all vets are familiar with human meters. If they suggest a pet meter let them know the strips are too expensive.

he got 204 :(.

I'm hoping the vet can helps us to get him regulated. :)

You are doing everything to get him regulated. Some cats are just tough. Most people can’t test any more than you are. You are feeding a low carb diet. I don’t know what more can be done. The 204 is about the same as his pmps as meter variance is 20% and a food bump. . I’d get a before bed test.
