Last night pmps 288 and I shot a conservative 2.25.
And like Joanna suggested, this morning we paid! The amps was 460. Thursday when the amps was is this range, I shot 3.25, so my decision this morning probably will not be popular!!! I only shot 3.00 this morning, in hopes that I can balance out the amps and pmps to more equal numbers. I really think Kitty is a 3 unit dose bid--but, would love to have simiar preshot numbers.
Remember, this is new to me and I want to feel comfortable with the dose.
As crazy as this sounds, I am elated to see these swings to some extent--because I realize the PZI is working. Prior to Wednesday, Kitty was getting 3.5 to 3.75 units and still having red preshots. The vet was convinced she was resistant.
It does appear the insulin was her problem, and while I am certain the fluids are helping her, it doesn't appear they are driving lower bgs--she received 100 mls yesterday. She does look great and is well hydrated, so hopefully her kidneys are loving the fluids!
Her hunger does seem to be better controlled the last few days. She even let me sleep last night!
We will see what today brings!
