My kitty who is 18 has several health issues including Ibd and diabetes from the steroids. Her diabetes has been not well monitored but has been ok by periodic testing at the vet. Starting in November she began losing weight after two years of stable weight from being on budesonide for Ibd. She has had all blood work, ultrasound etc and no cause has appeared.
She has just gotten the freestyle libre sensor because it seemed her diabetes might be causing the weight loss. She got the sensor yesterday and I have scanned her and recorded intake and insulin carefully and will continue to. Her glucose levels are not bad. Her level before breakfast today was 112 and after breakfast was 128. I didn't give her insulin. Yesterday afternoon her level was about 157 before eating and about 178 after eating. She eats small amounts of fancy feast about every hour. The highest level 200 was late yesterday after dinner and her flavored chew treat. Over night her reading was about 140 before small FF portion
Would this kind of reading be likely to cause a 1/4 pound weight loss for months? She has basically had everything else ruled out including thyroid etc.
Thank you. I am very worried about her.

Those are not bad BGs.
Is she only eating FF? How much food per day?
You can take screenshots of the phone's screen if you are using that to scan. If you are using the dedicated reader you can go to LivreView website and take a screenshot of what is displayed and post that.
What kind of insulin was she on and what was the last dose?

Thank you. She eats fancy feast and a few crumbs of cheese when she gets her shots and pills. She is on Lantus and she has been having 2 units twice a day. I didn't inject her this morning because her bg was 112 before breakfast and she has been eating a little FF at a time and her bg went to 141 and just now 165. I just started this yesterday but it scares me that I would have given her two units when her bg was 112.
The main worry is that we can't figure out why she loses weight continuously. She has had literally every blood test ultrasound etc. The last idea was maybe her diabetes was causing it. But with these levels that is unlikely right?
Thank you very much.

How many cans of FF does she eat a day?
What is here current weight
What do you think her weight should be?
I doubt diabetes is cause.
Wht was the 2 units of Lantus based on? That seems high from what you have told me.
