I need to make a decision to put Charlie back on Lantus or keep going without. His AT numbers are normal but not as low as some say they should be. His AMBG & PMBG are sometimes a little high, & he may be snacking within a couple hours before his BG. I bought an auto feeder for his +9 snacks & occasionally he misses them. BUT I need to get the one that changes to an empty slot so I know he hasn’t eaten two hours before. On top of that, I did a urine test at home & his white blood cells are moderate, so I need to find out what’s going on from vet I guess (kidney disease, UTI etc). Thoughts?

If I were you I would use a human meter, the right timed feeder, and make sure he gets a +9 snack no doesn’t eat before amps. Home urine strips are not accurate. They are only accurate for glycine and ketones if timing correctly are followed. If you see signs of a uti or ckd vet appointment is strongly suggested.
