I got a silly question.....I finally received the pzi today and, I don't know how to open it it?
It has the aluminum top . Please help!

Can you post a picture? Usually you poke the needle into the rubber seal?

Yes we practiced with saline ,I know where to poke the bottle ....but, I don't know how, I get the aluminum thing off? Do I pry the middle off or push it in the middle and the edges come up?

I'll get mine and take a pic mine does have a red cap but it was very easy to take off -- it looks like the syringe has an orange top though - is this a U-100 syringe? Hang on a minute while I get the insulin

I've had some horse meds in the past that had a metal covering and the center just pried up. They didn't look quite like that though..

Those are not the correct syringes - your insulin is a U-40 - the correct syringes have a red top

Yes, your right Bobbie - there should be a ring that you just pull off - maybe the ring broke off of your vial - but just so you realize that you need to use a conversion to use the U-100 syringes

Check your insulin. ProZinc is a U40 insulin. PZI can be U100.

What does it say on your vial? ProZinc or PZI?

Check your insulin. ProZinc is a U40 insulin. PZI can be U100.

100U/ml on the bottle so are the syringes correct then?
and he is suppose to have 1.5 ml after meals every 12 hrs.

Pzi is the insulin.

I think I will just try prying the middle circle thing out, your one photo looks like the cap took that part off. Mine don't have a cap so ,I guess gotta do it manually!

Got it! OK this is really silly, All I did was lift the middle circle with my thumb nail!
