Adam was at 137 this morning. I tested 2 hours later he is at 298. A little discouraged because he went up so high. I hope he goes down again at +6. Also how often should I test? Only 1 ear bleeds and he is acting like it's getting sore even though I hold it after testing and he has no scars. He is pretty laid back but when I test alot he gets pissy.
Oh gesh I just realized he beat up Alex and ate his food so that's probably why the numbers are higher.. well at least it was pate and not dog food this time..or a glazed donut , or baked ziti.. or many other things.

Yep. It’s a bounce from the green nadirs. Take the afternoon off. Bounces can take 4-6 cycles to clear or clear quickly.

It's likely that Adam went lower at night, which is why he's bouncing now. Any chance of getting a later test at night after PMPS so you can spot the drops, and either monitor later or leave food out for him to stay safe?

The +2 test is often a heads up as to what will happen in the cycle. If the +2 is about the same as the preshot, it's a normal Lantus cycle with some downward movement. If the +2 is quite a bit lower, it's a more active cycle that needs more monitoring (or food). If it's higher than the PMPS, it's a slow cycle, likely bounce, and you can take the rest of the cycle off from testing. Note, for some cats, the +2 indicator might be +2.5 or so. You may have to experiment a bit to see what works for Adam.

His number are high for his Am higher then normal actually 393 at 9:30 am
I backed him up from 10 am . It is possible he got into the dogs food while I was in the bathroom though too. So it's a wait and see thing. Usually if he does it takes a day to get it out of his system. His numbers will drop low again on the second day and bounce high before leveling out on day 2 . I am going to try to get a +2 tonight. So hopefully that will show what's going on with chubby stuff
