Yes Phoebe has the creaking, snapping, and popping. We are on the 15th shot of adequan. We have noticed a little difference. I am upping her dose because it was .23 for a 12 lb cat she is now almost 13.8. It's on the exspensive side but have noticed a difference. There is only adequan for horse and canine. I got the canine. Someone else who has used it with Great results is @jayla-n-Drevon . I am hoping she can get even more relief.Adequan is another option that some have used for arthritic diabetic kitties. @Phoebes uses it, I believe.

One does not what to get the equine Adequen since it does NOT contain a preservative like the canine Adequen does. The un-preserved equine is made to use the vial one only, not for repeated dosing like weekly. Without a preservative bacteria can grow in a punctured vial
sorry! 1 capsule daily.only 1 capsule for last 3-4 months

Don't we continuly puncture our insulin vials and pens?Without a preservative bacteria can grow in a punctured vial
Yes, which is why insulin has a preservative in it for the reasons Larry mentioned in post #9. If memory serves me well, the insulins commonly used for our cats contain the preservative Meta-cresol -aka- M-cresol... unless this is something that has changed recently.Don't we continuly puncture our insulin vials and pens?
Correct. Levemir also has phenol too as a preservative. If memory serves me well, the insulins commonly used for our cats contain the preservative Meta-cresol -aka- M-cresol..
