It's unfair of me to assume he wasn't concerned, he must have had his reasons. Digital X-rays can almost show too much but they can't show how hard the poop is, just that here's a lot. The reasons could be anything from inadequate poo gland production (why dogs need their glands squeezed) to something they swallowed that isn't obvious on an X-ray. We have a habit here of assuming some vets are borderline morons which is unfair. Mine are both good at explaining the vagaries of animal science but some have trouble putting words into pictures. Andrew swallowing a staple was easy, Hannah swallowing a bottle of Tums was not. As for the pink flecks I used to know a serious alcoholic who downed a bottle of Pepto Bismol before every binge.
