How to feel better about ear pricks!

Hello! Cheech is a great girl and has let us prick her ears (sometimes multiple times) to test her. Her ears are so tiny and I can see the prick marks (she has white ears) and I just feel so bad that they’re sore, she’s hurting and she is mad at us. I am trying with socks to make her ear warm and bigger lancet to make 1 prick only but I am just so sad! Any tips on how to not make her ears sore? Or how I can feel less awful?

Is really not sore and it does not hurt, is actually the capillaries that are swelling, you see more because the ear is white, see the pictures that’s Corky’s ear and I have testing on the same year for 4 years, just make sure the needle goes in the ear sideways not down

I send you the photos to make you feel better at first I would cry like a baby testing him, but then I realized that what I was doing was stressing him and I was getting emotional I’ll, and Corky needed me whole , not a wreck, you are doing a great job, you love Cheech and he knows it

[May & Mingau]

Using rice socks was a game changing for me and Mingau. Also I keep always new lancets and after a while it became a lot easier for us. There's no more swelling.
