Catee was fed cat chow two days while I was away. Well he was fed cat chow and Young Again. He was eating both but ate all of the cat chow which was two ounces according to my friend. Now I admit I will give him a few pieces as like a treat but not that much. He hasn't ate that much in a long time.
He has been OTJ since I was able to get him regulated with Young Again food. When I got back today, his blood sugar was 210 around 10 pm. The highest it has been since he was first diagnosed. My friend took it this morning at 7am and it was 59. I told her to try and take it when I found out he was fed cat chow.
I believe he is showing signs of renal thresold. He is drinking alot of water since I've been home and my friend said he drunk quite a bit yesterday. I cleaned out his litter box and it does appear he has urinated a good bit but not like when it was high at first diagnosis.
I am so afraid his numbers have went back up and will not come back down. The cat chow has been taken away.
What should I do? Monitor him the next few days... taking his blood glucose every 12 hours? Or should I take it more often.
I've been testing him every week since OTJ but it has mostly always been in the mornings. I hope I have not missed it being up in the evenings.
Thank you for any help.
