Well its two weeks since Milo passed and we are doing better. We still have times where it is hard to believe he is gone.
Last Friday my vet called, he was away at a conference in Denver but he got autopsy results and wanted to relay them to me. He had asked if I would give approval for one since he couldn't understand what had happened to our sweet Milo. It turns out Milo had a large tumor on his pituitary gland that was putting pressure on the brain stem (he said unless there was an MRI or Milo was displaying other symptoms it wouldn't have been found). Also there was something with clots in the kidneys. The vet feels this is why we were having such a hard time trying to regulate Milo.
We took Allie to the vet on Monday for her first physical. My vet asked if I wanted the results or to discuss them, but I declined. I just know my baby was sick and hurting. He is free from pain now.
Allie is a fun kitty. She has so many of Milo's traits it is scary. She likes his favorite spots to sleep, sits on the couch in his spot between us, stays awake most of the day like he would, etc. She has decided sleeping with hubby and I is a good thing. Like him she goes to bed when we go to bed and stays until the alarm goes off. She will come snuggle with me after everyone is at work and school. She is a very loud and vocal kitty. She loves her wet food and slides across the kitchen floor to get.
I hope all your sweet sugar kitties are doing well. Once again thank you all for the support over the past few months trying to get Milo back on track with his numbers and for being so kind when he passed.
