To make a long story short we are now the caregivers for a recently very sick tiny old kitty. Her name is Misty and today we have started her curve and have Levemir on board and ready to help her.
I find myself much less panicked than I did with my first sugar kitty Scooter. I think that is because I knew just were to go.
So hi to my old friends and helpers and welcome to everyone who is new to me.

Hi I'm a new friend! Misty is so fortunate to have you <3. Less panicked is a great thing. I'm sure it will just be like riding a bike and Misty will start to feel her self in no time :bighug::bighug:

Linda :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: I was just thinking of you the other day (Winter Olympics, cat getting dry food then not), but wasn't really expecting to see you. I'm glad to see you, though not this way.

Misty is one lucky cat. What were her symptoms that got you to get her tested? What is she eating?

Totally off topic, how many kitties in your place now?
 
Hello Linda and Misty, welcome back Linda. You won't remember me but I remember you and Scooter. I left here in 2015, but I hung around to see you had Jack. I missed your Junior. I am sorry you lost them but God Bless you for taking them in, they were certainly blessed to have you! Sending healing vibes for Misty and will look forward to seeing you post!:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh Wendy so many times I think I should pop in and say hi but didn’t. Sorry bad manners.
So as all our kids have stories this one was brought in to be put down as I was paying the bill for another cat. The woman was distraught so I asked what’s wrong with her and she said diabetes. I looked at my Vet and smiled and said no candles today. My Vet explained my history with Sugar kitties and the woman signed right over with love.
She is tiny only 4 pounds. She had a respiratory infection but other than losing weight she is healthy. We immediately started her on fancy feast and got her off kibble. Just got the Levemir yesterday. So today will be her first day of insulin. I had to re read all the post it’s. I am so glad they are there. Going to do Slow and go.
Today we have 9. We actually went one year without a Vet bill. It was mind blowing.

You are an angel to help Misty and her previous owner. I bet your vet really appreciates you too. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
I don't know if it's still true (it's been years for me), but if this site restricts you to only 3 links in your signature, maybe you could rename one of the 3 links you currently have to add Misty's name to it and then add a new sheet called Misty 2022 to that spreadsheet, so we can follow along.

Oh you are so sweet! I am still getting used to the new format here. I have no idea how to change the links in my signature. In fact I was happy I got Misty’s SS linked :p:joyful::)
