Hi all,
I posted here with having trouble with the Solostar earlier this week and many of you recommended using the pen like a vial. I have syringes now, but I just wanted to verify I am understanding the process right.
1. I saw that with a vial you're supposed to fill it with air first, but you shouldn't do that with a pen. I've read that you should remove air from the syringe first, before inserting the needle.
2. Draw out the insulin and if you go over the dose, remove the needle and shoot out the excess. Don't put the excess back into the pen because the pen can be contaminated by the lubricant.
Am I missing anything? Any other tips?
Thanks!
