OK Sev,
Take a few steps back away from it. If/when you see a nadir that is blue, just quit for the day. Yes, last night was "interesting", and good thing you were watching and saw that green.
Look at the first 4 hours today vs. tonight. Basically the same numbers each hour, except for +4. Once he climbed like that? He's not going too low overnight, right? He didn't go too low today either. Time to just say "damn" and put away the meter till tomorrow morning.
There's no reason glaringly obvious to drop the dose. And it's only been 3 cycles on this dose. So tomorrow morning, he should still get 1.75.
I have to say that I am overwhelmed by the amount of tests you've done since you started that SS. You are paying extreme attention to the numbers, which I understand, given your comments a couple of weeks ago about your personality type. This not a knock on you, more of a knock on me.....but you've tested Kitty more in two weeks than I did in the 10 weeks Bob was on insulin combined. I was definitely not testing enough.
Kitty must look and feel like a pin cushion! I'm nominating him for this year's "Most Tolerant Sugarcat of the Year"!
GIve him his shot for breakfast, go to work, come back and check him once in the middle. Give yourself a break from it.
Carl
