Worried and I'm not sure what to do...I was planning on keeping her on the 1 unit for a week or two like the vet suggested, but it just seems to make her feel horrible. She seems to drop so quick, and sure enough around +4 or so I find her hot, laying on the floor to cool off.
The other problem is last night she did this weird swallowing thing...like she was having trouble swallowing something. She closed her eyes, and kept moving her head forward. Her eyes started to water, and she was drooling a little. I had a recent BG number, so knew it wasn't hypo. She seemed to recover from this last night, but just did it again today. She is eating and drinking fine. I was considering going to the ER, but don't want to overreact. (maybe it's just a hairball) Has anyone dealt with this before?
As far as dosing, I'm considering just taking her down to .5 to lessen the swings, until maybe I can get her to vet next week and try a new insulin. If anyone has any ideas on dosing, I'm open to all opinions. Thanks everyone...just getting discouraged...again.
