My wife picked up some more Greenies when we were at Petco yesterday. I first looked at the bag now, Ground Brewers Rice, Ground Wheat, Corn Gluten Meal, Oat Fiber......

http://www.greenies.com/en_us/FAQs/defa ... oduct_ID=4 This is a chart from their site.

So, am I over reacting on these treats? Or am I right on taking these back? On one hand I was thinking its a very small amount, on the other I assume there is much better stuff out there. I did a search on here but I mostly came up with post about shot time and giving the patient treats etc.

Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction for a healthy treat for the boys?

Perfect, thanks a bunch!

I agree with you. Its a few small treats, but they are not that big (cats) so I can see where it could have an effect. Last time I was at the Vet I was looking through info that compared cats to people. If I recall correctly a 1oz chunck of cheese to a cat is similar to a human eathing 3.5 cheeseburgers or 3 candy bars!

Mugsy doesn't like the store-bought treats or catnip so I resorted to buying cheap hamburger and cooking it up (no seasonings or anything). After I drain it I store it separately in the refrigerator to offer as needed. He loves it.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaa seeeeeeeee, Mugsy likes the burger see, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Sorry could not help my self! (I will assume you watched Looney Tunes)

Thanks, thats a healthier alternative.....and probably even less expensive than store bought treats.
