Java has been having a few issues lately. We upped his dose to 1.75u last thursday and friday I turned the heat down from 76 to 70. I was thinking it might warmup, this is not really related to the story. So it was either saturday night or sunday when I was rubbing him and he felt cold to the touch and almost damp. The thing is my civvie also felt a little cold so I attributed it to the heat being turned down. But with all the surfing in green he did this past couple of days I am wondering if he really was clammy? I know I am probably crazy.

If he was running on low, so to speak, his basal metabolic rate might have slowed a bit.

Actually you are not crazy - we both are. I've been noticing that my Harley's fur is softer and a little damper the lower his numbers go. So much to the fact that I can touch him and if he feels extremely soft and cushy I test him right away. Usually he's in the 60s or 70s. On the flip side if he fees dry and his coat has little luster I test him because he's probably running high.

And I thought I was nutz...

I am so glad I am not the only one! I feel like I am hypersensitive to every little thing he does so when he felt that way I seriously thought I was crazy! Soft and cushy is exactly right! Thanks Laura!
