Halloween Rememberences

Every year at Halloween, there is a tradition on the Lantus board of remembering those kitties, and sometimes caregivers, who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge during the past year. Despite my time on the Board, I don't know when or how that tradition started, but it's one we should keep up. The thought behind the tradition is that the veil between the the two sides of the Bridge are at their thinnest on Halloween. It is the time when we honour those who are no longer with us but who are fondly remembered.

My apologies if I've missed anyone. Please add their names to the thread if I've overlooked one of our Lantus/Lev/Biosimilar kitties who left us for the Bridge this year.

My heart is tender as I take time to reflect on this list of sweet little souls who have passed on. Thank you for reminding us about how thin the veil truly is at this time. May all who have suffered loss find comfort in the beautiful memories of those kitties and caregivers. I am truly sorry for your loss. :bighug::bighug:

I didn’t post at the time it happened or about the myriad complications that led up to it, but you can also add RK to the list.

Thanks, Wendy, for your efforts on tracking the losses. It always surprises me just how many we say goodbye to every year. Even more so, though, I’m reminded of the sheer number of members who find us. What a difference this website has made over the years.

To all whose kitties have gone ahead, I am sorry for your losses. It is so very hard to say goodbye.

I have often wondered about Herman, who was hospitalized early in 2024. His spreadsheet ends in April, and I'm afraid he may no longer be with us (does anyone know for sure?). He was such a character -- his mom Amy would post the funniest pictures, and she wrote about him with so much love. I miss them both.

I'm just seeing this now. Safe journey, peaceful rest to all who have gone on. cat_wings>o
Some I didn't know, some I didn't realize had gone, some still hurt...thanks Wendy for doing this. :bighug::bighug:
