Halloween Rememberences

[Sienne and Gabby (GA)]

Every year at Halloween*, there is a tradition on the Lantus board of remembering those kitties, and sometimes caregivers, who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge during the past year. Despite my longevity on the Board, I don't remember when or how that tradition started. The thought behind the tradition is that the veil between the the two sides of the Bridge are at their thinnest on Halloween. It is the time when we honor those who are no longer with us but who are fondly remembered.

*Given the craziness of my schedule, I'm posting this a day early vs it getting lost in the mayhem of my typical day.

When I think of the Bridge it is with happy thoughts that all of our GA Kitties are together. The Halloween Party is the best party of the year. When the veil is at it's thinnest, all of our kitties will lift a glass to their GA brothers/sisters/pals. There will be a great celebration and feasting on both sides of the Bridge. Let the party begin!

It is bittersweet memories we remember tonight, of well loved FD cats.

Yesterday Penelope posted supplies for her sweet Macka too. She hadn't posted much since she moved to France. Those new to the bridge will be welcomed with open paws.

Thank you @Sienne and Gabby (GA). I lost Simon in September and I still cry everyday. I miss him so much but I know he is still with me in my heart and my spirit. Thank you for honoring him
